ABIT Introduces
Network, Server and Barebones Applications | Taipei, Taiwan, Tuesday 1 June 2001- Computex sees the introduction of ABIT's newest server-client innovations with Network Attached Storage, Barebones and E-Classroom solutions. These latest initiatives round out ABIT's comprehensive product portfolio. Each product line has been developed with the intent to maximize performance and simplify installation while optimizing the price-performance ratio.
Network Attached Storage (NAS)
ABIT's Network Attached Storage systems are the most cost effective way to expand a servers data storage capacity. Available in stand-alone and 1U thin rackmount forms, NAS eliminates the need for hours of downtime by attaching directly to the Ethernet. Installation takes only five minutes compared to hours or days for traditional servers. ABIT's NAS comes complete with Hot Swap hard drives, RAID support (0, 1, 0+1), multiple client OS support (Macintosh, Linux, Unix, and Windows), and twin LAN (10/100 MB) capability.
Barebones
ABIT's Barebone systems are compactly designed to minimize space while maximizing power. Based on a flex ATX Motherboard and chassis there is an ABIT Barebones system for every need. With additional USB support, optional TV/DFP/modem support and integrated sound ABIT's Barebones offers a total system solution for little cost. Together with its server technology, ABIT's Barebones system is the backbone for every e-solution.
E-solutions
ABIT's E-solutions provide the simplest and most efficient means of delivering local client-server computer networks for educational, gaming and corporate needs. The education orientated E-classroom is suitable for schools, universities and technical colleges. Student satellite terminals are linked to the teachers PC and server. Satellite terminals boot up through a unique PXE protocol (developed in cooperation with Intel) eliminating the need for local hard drives. E-classroom solutions increase network security and give the tea |
