OverClockersOnlineon The TH7-RAID "TheMost Tweakable P4 Motherboard"

Taipei, Taiwan, Wednesday July 4th 2001-OverClockersOnline had ABIT'sTH7 RAID motherboard on the testbench and welcomed the design of the board. Thiswas the first P4 motherboard that was different then Intel's reference design,including the Highpoint 370 IDE RAID-controller and the smart design forinstalling the heatsink on the cpu. Of course they tried to dosome overclocking on the board, too, and they were successful with this.

"Installingthe heatsink is very different to what we are used with socketA and socket370cpu's. Instead of putting a clamp on the heatsink, the clamps are preinstalledon the motherboard."Onoverclocking, they say,"In order to achieve the1.6GHz, the voltage was upped by only 0.1v, which is not that much. The TH7-RAID had somemore juice left for us to try."

Toconclude, "It looks like ABIT pulledit off again peeps. The TH7-RAID is the most tweakable Pentium4 motherboard currentlyavailable and besides the very tweakable BIOS, it also offers a lot of extrafeatures like the onboard RAID controller, the LED Diagnostic system and ofcourse the overclocking options."
