Firing Squad on ABIT's TH7II-RAID : "The Ultimate Tweaking Machine"

Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C. Tuesday, August 14, 2001 - Firing Squad took a first look at the new 850 478-pin P4 CPU-based TH7II-RAID. Firing Squad begin by saying, "With the TH7II-RAID, ABIT took a great product and made it even better."

To explain why the TH7II-RAID is better, Firing Squad first look at the unique feature. "On the plus side, the integrated debug card is a great feature to have for diagnosing problems on startup. Simply look up the code displayed in the manual, and you'll know precisely why your system didn't start up."

Next, they move to ABIT engineered BIOS, where they declare, "Quite simply, ABIT is the innovator in this aspect. This feature alone puts the TH7II at the top of its class - a spot once held by its predecessor and the ASUS P4T."

On performance, Firing Squad say, "With the overabundance of bus settings available, we were extremely eager to see how high we could crank our TH7II-RAID. "How high could the 400MHz FSB be pushed? Firing Squad were amazed by a number of "628MHz!"

During this high overclocking, stability is crucial. On this, Firing Squad say, "Stability of our board was impeccable. These boards can take severe punishment and keep on ticking! The system still refused to crash."

"We are convinced that the TH7II-RAID will still be among the best 478-pin 850 motherboards once the other players show up. ABIT's the top company to beat."
