abit IP35 Pro receives AnandTech's Editors Choice Gold
"We are enamored of the IP35 Pro"

abit@AnandTechNovermber 6, 2007 – The abit IP35 Pro motherboard is based on Intel's P35 chipset supporting the latest 65nm as well as the upcoming 45nm multi-core CPUs and Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme/Quad/Duo & Pentium® Dual Core processors. The IP35 Pro utilizes conductive polymer aluminum solid state capacitors and a high quality four-phase voltage regulator system to guarantee best stability and overclockability. With the exclusive abit µGuru microchip users can monitor and control important system parameters such as voltages, temperatures and fan speed from within an easy-to-use Windows-based interface.

The editors at AnandTech just recently took a closer look at abit's P35 based flagship motherboard.

AnandTech's Editors tested the IP35 Pro with many test suits, including memory testing, overclocking, gaming performance, and much more. abit is well renown in the industry and among users for making the most user-friendly motherboards. Even overclocking is easy with the IP35 Pro. "The overclocking capability of this motherboard is extremely good but more importantly, very easy… The board's stability will start to trail off when you are near its limits so there is feedback from the board before you go over the edge."

abit IP35 Seriesabit's exclusive µGuru technology does not only offer powerful overclocking features but most importantly unique system control and monitoring capabilities. "abit's µGuru technology clearly stands out as the best platform tuning and monitoring tool currently offered by any motherboard manufacturer; it sets the standard that other brands would do well to emulate ... abit includes a BIOS flash utility as part of the µGuru. We flashed our board six times with this utility without any problems."

Regarding the cooling system, including the abit patented Silent OTES™ technology, the testers remarked: "The IP35-Pro comes with six fan headers (1 x 4-pin, 5 x 3-pin) that provided an excellent balance of cooling options … abit utilizes a well-engineered heat pipe system for cooling the MCH, ICH, and PWM component areas … It is easy to remove the heat pipe system if you wish to water cool the MCH/ICH chipsets or perform the PWM heatsink mod."

In the verdict AnandTech rewarded the abit IP35 Pro motherboard with their Editor's Choice Gold Award, pointing out: "When the IP35 series finally started shipping, it was met with enthusiasm from users and an almost universal acceptance as a group of products that offered the right balance of features, performance, and support for the price … the more we used the board, the more we became enamored of it."
