The Inquirer finds abit AT8 32X "faster"
"abit board runs SLI faster than the competition"

June 21, 2006 – The Inquirer who loves to dig into all sorts of mysteries decided to take the abit AN8-32X in for some serious questioning: "abit is well known for producing very good overclocking and tweakable motherboards. We had a chance to test one of the last Nforce 4 SLI 32 X boards on the market. It is still socket 939 and we believe that this socket and boards for it will remain very attractive for a while."

After the first salvo of interrogative techniques, the Inquirer managed to find out some pretty useful information: "The board comes with well known Guru application that will allow you to overclock from Windows, nice and easy. The board comes with Hypertransport clocked to 202MHz making it a little bit faster. The application includes three profiles: Normal, Turbo and Quiet and each will overclock the FSB to 210, 216 and 205 respectively. It also tunes the fans. It makes a overclocking a piece of cake and you can make your own profile where you can set it all manually, including the voltages."

When other boards were put to the question, abit prevailed with some snappy comebacks: "If you want to run SLI and want to use two by sixteen PCIe slots at full speed abit might be the choice for you…. abit did a great job and we are sure it will continue its great tradition with its Nforce 5xx series."
