 June 21, 2006 – "Xtremecomputing" took the abit's AT8 32X and put it through its paces: " It's safe to say abit are probably right up there and are one of the best motherboard designers in the market today."
This CrossFire ready motherboard with ATI chipset supports fully functional dual x16 graphics at blistering speeds. The presentation and box were both impressive and fully featured with correct manuals and more: " You get several manuals, you get one for the motherboard which goes into detail on EVERYTHING, I would imagine even someone new to building pcs could, given enough time, build a pc using this motherboard and the comprehensive manual, a quick installation guide which is basically 2 pages per language covering jumper settings and pinouts for USB headers and such (which is VERY handy as it saves loads of time flicking through the manual looking for them) and micro guru also gets a comprehensive manual all to itself which is good as it seems like a quite technical piece of software and as such deserves it.."
The specifications are way above average: "the AT8 32x has a pretty impressive spec sheet with virtually nothing left out, (support for 8 gig of ram sounds pretty amazing too) that I can think of anyway, and 1 or 2 I wasn't expecting to see, like optical in which isn't something I have seen on many motherboards, very impressive."
 On performance we prevail: "The abit AT8 32x is a very nice motherboard…it's a very good board and in the short time I have used it, it strikes me as being a very user friendly board in that its very easy to install and get running (someone confident in building pc's probably wont need to refer to the set up guide) and with some time and effort you should be able to get some decent overclocks from it should you want to."
