Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C., September 15th, 2004 - Club Overclocker; one of the most popular enthusiast's
favourite hardware review site has recently took a look at ABIT's Intel LGA775 socket based motherboard with DDR support;
AG8. Here are the highlights:
Let's hear what Club Overclocker says about the new extraordinary
Northbridge Cooler "One of the nice things ABIT has implemented in their newer boards is better cooling for the
northbridge chipset. This sideways mounted fan pushes more air than if it were mounted downwards blowing air onto the
board."
ABIT μGuru; the ultimate Window tweaking software that offers OC Guru, ABIT EQ, Black BOX and Flash Menu. Let's hear
what Club Overclocker has to say "ABIT's Overclocking Guru is a simple and easy way to overclock your computer.
With the AG8, you can independently control the external clock speed of the CPU, PCIE controller, and PCI controller.
This is essential when trying to maintaining a stable system. You can also control the CPU, DDR and Northbridge voltages
from the Guru as well."
Conclusion, "I have to tell you that
I was a little worried going into this review after seeing other brands of i915P motherboards show less than satisfactory
results. Not just in performance, but in tweaking and overclocking as well. Lucky for us, ABIT came along and showed us
how it's done. It looks as if ABIT spent far more time testing this board and ironing out the kinks than other companies
because I've yet to run into any problem what so ever. I'd also like to point out that all testing was done on a retail
board right out of the box. The motherboard did not require a bios flash nor did we have to wait on special drivers. This
motherboard was 100% ready right out of the box. This is a rare treat in today's hurry up and release market."
We are honoured to receive the Club Overclocker Recommended Award. "Overall, the AG8 performed flawlessly and
impressed me with every feature. ABIT sure has come a long way over the past year. Their vow to release flawless products
has really paid off and I hope they keep it up! A perfect 10 and Club Overclocker Recommended!"
