September 1, 2004 – Fatal1ty, the
world's best known PC gamer and recently crowned DOOM 3 champion, will take on challengers in a Fatal1ty Shootout
during the ABIT Hardware Festival in Leicester Square while on the London stop of his European tour. £1000
is offered to all challengers that manage to defeat him during a 4 minute match. The ABIT Fatal1ty Shootout will give London
gamers the opportunity to challenge the 3-time CPL Champion of the Year, with a chance to win an array of prizes for scoring
points, even if they don't defeat him.
Sebastian "GeisT" Samek, an experienced gamer and well known announcer of gaming events, will be on hand
at all the ABIT Fatal1ty Shootouts in London to call the play-by-play action, including the first ever public exhibition
in Leicester Square. "I am very pleased to be a part of these exciting Fatal1ty Shootouts" said
GeisT. "These events are drawing a lot of attention and are doing a great deal to promote competitive gaming."
Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel was enthusiastic when informed of GeisT's appearances. "Play-by-play
announcing adds to the knowledge and excitement of the game," commented Fatal1ty, "and Sebastian
is the best. Everyone will enjoy the contests even more."
Fatal1ty Shootouts are competitions open to event attendees who want the chance to play against the world's best-known
professional gamer and are open to fellow gamers of all skill levels. Competitions consist of 4-minute, 1 vs. 1 matches,
with prizes awarded for any points scored. DOOM 3 will be the game of choice except at venues where that game may not apply,
in which case alternative games will be played.
In addition to the Leicester Square event other Fatal1ty appearances are scheduled. The full schedule of ABIT Fatal1ty
