17, 2004 – Following the enormous success of the Fatal1ty Shootout™
at Quakecon 2004, ABIT is proud to announce the official launch of ABIT
Fatal1ty Shootout Europe. Taking place across five European countries,
ABIT Fatal1ty Shootout Europe gives European gamers the opportunity to
challenge the 3-time CPL Champion to a 1v1 matchup for fantastic prizes.
Fatal1ty Shootouts are competitions open to attendees who want the chance
to play against the world famous professional gamer, Johnathan 'Fatal1ty'
Wendel. Competitions consist of a 4-minute, 1v1 match, and prizes will
be awarded for any points scored. Players able to best Fatal1ty within
the time allotted will be one of the first to receive the new ABIT Fatal1ty
motherboard, which is currently set for an October release.
The first Fatal1ty Shootout on the European tour will take place at Game
Convention, in Leipzig, Germany from August 19th to the 22nd. As Germany's
only all-inclusive trade fair for digital interactive games, infotainment,
edutainment and hardware, Game Convention will give thousands of gamers
a chance to meet and interact with Fatal1ty. Following Game Convention,
ABIT Fatal1ty Shootout Europe proceeds to events in the UK, Italy, Russia,
and Holland.
