Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C., Jun. 10, 2004 - ABIT Computer announces a new entry server board SC-1P with Intel E7210 chipset supporting P4 running at 800MHz FSB and a maximum of 4GB memory capacity with ECC parity check for data integrity.
The SC-1P is designed as an entry-level general-purpose server for small and medium office to serve as WEB server, mail server and data center etc. A cost effective data access and protection is therefore a basic requirement. SC-1P deployed Silicon Image Sil3114 with 4 extra SATA ports in addition to 2 supported by S.B., total of 6 SATA ports design with 150MB fast data transfer rate, greatly meets customers's fast growing storage demands . Furthermore, a RAID 0, 1, 10, or JBOD architecture is also supported for inexpensive data protection as part of the storage solution. An additional RAID 5 will be provided later as an enhanced version.
Benefits from the particular S.B.(6300 ESB) adopted by SC-1P, the high throughput SATA devices do not have to sacrifice performance by traditional PCI Bus running at limited bandwidth. With the 64-bit/66MHz PCI-X data bus capability, the 4 additional SATA devices could be operated at full load for a busy & mass data transfer.
The SC-1P also features with dual Gigabit Ethernet through CSA & PCI-X bus to enable a high performance networking with fail-over capability creating an exceptional value to the entry server appliance.
