December
16, 2003 - When it comes to quality, high-performance motherboards,
nobody does it better than ABIT. AMD3D recently tested one of ABIT's newest
Pentium 4 motherboards, the AI7, sporting all new µGuru™ technology. The
editors were so impressed with it, that they decided it was worthy of
a 92% score, and their coveted Gold Award!
AMD3D liked the sheer versatility of µGuru™: "This is some new
software/utility that ABIT have started using on their motherboards. It
allows you to Overclock in windows, keep an eye on your temperatures,
change the speed of CPU/NB fans and change the levels of your audio...It
is a very multipurpose program."
Conclusion: "ABIT seemed to excelled themselves again with the
AI7. It performs consistently better in games than its rival the ASUS
P4P800. This could be due to ABIT's new Game Accelerator...The µGuru utility
seems feature packed, I did not try the overclocking utility as I am a
fan of the old fashioned way; using the bios. All round quite a good feature
packed board, for a very reasonable price."
