- The Crucible recently reviewed the award winning ABIT KV8-MAX3
giving it the "Recommended" Award.
Here are the highlights:
If you ask any hardcore enthusiast to name their three favorite
brands, I would hazard a guess that nine out of ten of them would say
ABIT. ABIT is well known for producing products that cater to the overclocker,
and hardcore user. With the initial launch of the new MAX3 line of boards,
ABIT has jumped back in to the enthusiast ring with both feet. The MAX3
line delivers the high voltages demanding overclockers require. The KV8-MAX3
really embodies the spirit of the MAX3 line. From its OTES™ mosfet cooling
to the four channel SATA RAID controller to its massive voltage adjustments
the KV8-MAX3 screams extreme.
µGuru technology spans all facets of windows based system monitoring.
With small applications for temperature and voltage, fan speed control,
audio equalizer, system overclocking, tech support contact and ABIT's
flash menu BIOS update tool. It is really quite an ingenious package.
Conclusions:
The KV8-MAX3 is definitely going to be a top contender in the
Athlon64/Socket754 market. It has great gaming performance, and is very
stable. Having onboard pretty much everything this board is a fantastic
platform to build your next ultimate gaming rig on...ABIT has done a good
job of putting together a board that will fulfill most any users needs.
