Taipei, Taiwan, June 20, 2003-Highly
respected computer hardware site AnandTech has just completed a roundup of 20
motherboards based on the 865PE and 875P chipsets. After countless hours of
testing, they have awarded the ABIT IS7 their Editor's Choice Gold Award as Best
Pentium 4 Motherboard, concluding that the IS7 "is living proof of ABIT's
commitment to the enthusiast desktop market, and we can only hope they continue
to produce more motherboards like the IS7 for years to come."
The Fastest Motherboard Ever Created
ABIT's Game Accelerator Bios, with the settings of 'Auto',
'Turbo', 'Street Racer' and 'F1', allow ABIT users to reach performance levels
unseen on any other Pentium 4 motheroard. Game Accelerator is available for both
the IC7 Series as well as the IC7 Series. With Game Accelerator, your
motherboard is faster. Anand declares, "After many hours of testing we have
decided that the best Pentium 4 motherboard is ABIT's IS7 based on the 865PE
chipset. The IS7's assortment of onboard features such as IEEE 1394 FireWire,
Serial ATA RAID, 10/100 LAN, and AC'97 alone make it a great buy at just over
$105. However what separates the ABIT IS7 from other motherboards is its
excellent overclocking ability and superb performance that rival the most
expensive motherboards on the market, including those based on Intel's 875P
chipset. "
Worth It's Weight in Gold
"In
the end however, after countless hours of testing and much debate, we finally
decided to give our Editors Choice Gold Award for best overall Pentium 4
motherboard to the ABIT IS7. ABIT has put together a well performing motherboard
with a wonderful array of features and overclocking potential at an incredible
price point. The ABIT IS7 is living proof of ABIT's commitment to the enthusiast
desktop market, and we can only hope they continue to produce more motherboards
like the IS7 for years to come."
