Taipei, Taiwan, December 10, 2002- Corsair
Memory, Inc., an industry leader in ultra-performance DDR DRAM modules for
gaming and overclocking applications, has announced that it is moving to more
aggressive latency settings on its popular XMS3500 line of ultra-performance
memory modules.
When put to the test, ABIT motherboards have an uncanny ability to pull ahead of
the competition. Sudhian Media recently held a roundup of 7 KT400 boards, and
after numerous benchmarks tests, found the KD7-RAID to be the Best Overclocking/Enthusiast
board of the lot, stating that it "...scorched the competition for 3D gaming.
This is definitely the KT400 board to own if you're looking to game. "
Overclocking is unmatched on the KD7-RAID: "The ABIT was also one of our best
overclocking boards, pushing up to 200 MHz…performing solidly at 190...this is
one of the top KT400 boards for OCing..."
Here's the 3Dmark2001 result: "The ABIT KD7-RAID scorches the competition in
3DMark 2001, pulling ahead of its slowest competitor (the AOpen AK77-8X MAX) by
18% and besting even the KT4 Ultra. 3DMark 2001 is the first test we see such a
wide range of performance displayed, and its here that the ABIT solution finally
spreads its wings."
How did the KD7-RAID do in Quake 3 Arena? "We tested Quake III Arena with
Sound ON for a very specific reason- we were curious about measuring the impact
of the various boards' onboard sound solutions on game performance. Scores range
reasonably well, but there's no doubt that this test belongs to ABIT, pulling
15% ahead of the Soyo Dragon."
Their conclusion: "The ABIT KD7-RAID takes first place for
its high gaming performance and best overall overclocking potential."
