Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C., November 29, 2002 -
ABIT motherboards are known the world over to consistently deliver superior
performance over the competition. UK website AMD3D.com recently took a close
look at the newly released Intel-based BE7-RAID, and after a series of tests
discovered that for pure performance, the BE7-RAID is tough to beat -worthy of
their AMD3D Recommended Award!
AMD3D had this to say about overclocking on the BE7-RAID: "Overclockers will
be pleased to know that the SoftMenu III BIOS is a great feature to use. It's
easy, and after playing around settings and adjusting the voltages ... you can
get really good overclocked speeds with good stability. I managed to overclocked
the P4 - 2.53Ghz (19x133) to my usual 3.0Ghz (19x158) ... excellent."
Here's the BE7-RAID, both performance and feature-wise: "All 3D benchmarks
produced very good scores on my aging Geforce4 Ti420...Sandra memory scores were
also very good indeed...The onboard features are an added bonus. These include
onboard LAN, SPDIF in/out, optical out, onboard audio and ATA-133 RAID."
The conclusion? "I was quite impressed with ABIT BE7-RAID motherboard. At
first, it didn't look that impressive ... I mean the package was a little dull,
but it's the motherboard that counts...ABIT BE7-RAID is a very good all-rounder.
It has all the features you would expect with a great overclocking BIOS."
Final Score: 88%
