Taipei, Taiwan, ROC, July 29, 2002 - The
ABIT IT7 MAX has done it again. After an impressive debut, the IT7 keeps on
winning more and more recognition from the hardware industry's most respected
names. This time, respected hardware reviewer Abbas Jafferali of T-Break gave
the IT7 a phenomenal 92%, remarking, "the MAX offers the maximum features we've
seen in a motherboard."
Abbas loved the layout and onboard feature set of the IT7 MAX: "ABIT does a very
good job with the IT7's layout- almost everything is perfect about it.
Hardware-wise, the MAX offers the maximum features we've seen in a motherboard-
from the awesome HPT 374 RAID controller to ten USB ports. The BIOS is also
pretty good."
The performance and stability of the IT7 proved themselves worthy of the ABIT
pedigree: "The IT7 has very good performance for a DDR based board- it nearly
rivalled, and in some cases over passed, scores posted by RDRAM 1066 based
boards. The DDR333 multiplier definitely helps in making this the fastest 845E
based board. We had no problems with Stability or compatibility on the IT7. The
board performed like a champ for over 48 hours constantly running stress tests."
In conclusion, T-Break was very pleased: "ABIT has chosen the name MAX for its
series quite sensibly. The board provides maximum features and performance we've
seen on an 845E board to date. Its stability is also great and the overclocking
works real well too. In short, you're getting an excellent package with the IT7-
if you're looking for P4 board, we feel this should be on your short list."
Final Score: 92/100
