Taipei, Taiwan, ROC, June 19 2002 - ABIT's IT7 MAX has received another
"Editor's Choice" award. This time, it was Motherboards.org who lauded the IT7 for features, stability, overclockability and the legacy-free nature of the platform.
"It sounds good to be true, but legacy free systems are now real. ABIT has done it for a second time. The first ABIT legacy free motherboard, the ABIT AT7 was for the KT333/AMD duo. This time ABIT has released a legacy free board using the latest 845E chipset/Pentium 4 duo. They say the 3rd time is a charm, but ABIT has done it on their second
try."
The reviewer found that the IT7 ran smoothly with all the integrated features: "I was expecting a lot of test re-installations, IRQ issues, and a lot of wasted time. But I was totally wrong. It worked like a charm. I ran the tests and that was it. I overclocked it without any problems. I populated all 4 PCI slots and our standard video card. No problems at all. I was amazed that this feature packed legacy free board could be so
stable."
"The only thing not included is the technician who will install it. Maybe that is you. I definitely recommend this board for Pentium 4 buyers who are looking for all new features. Other than that there is nothing more to say. They didn't leave me any room to complain. They filled it up with all those
features."
Final Score: 89/100
