The BD7II-RAID features the latest Intel
i845E chipset, delivering a 533MHz front side bus and 3 DDR DIMMs support for up
to 2GB of high-speed DDR memory. The extra bandwidth provided by the i845E
chipset makes games, multimedia, and business programs run smoothly and quickly
on the BD7II-RAID, and its large memory capacity gives BD7II-RAID users multiple
options for memory configuration.
ATA 133 RAID and USB 2.0
The BD7II-RAID also provides 2 ATA 133
RAID-ready IDE channels with its HPT 372 controller. RAID 0, 1, and 0+1 are
possible. Combined with the 2 native ATA 100 IDE channels, the BD7II-RAID has
the capacity to accommodate up to 8 IDE devices. The BD7II-RAID with its HPT 372
chip gives you maximum storage flexibility. The BD7II-RAID also supports 4 USB
2.0 ports – 2 via back panel, 2 via the bundled bracket. A extra USB header that
supports 2 USB 2.0 channels is built on-board as well, which means a total of 6
USB 2.0 ports are possible. Users with a computer chassis equipped with USB
ports will appreciate the convenience of the BD7II-RAID.
10/100 LAN and Audio
The BD7II-RAID adds even more features,
making it an unbeatable value. The BD7II-RAID is high-speed Internet ready; with
its RTL8100B Ethernet controller delivering 10/100Mb transfer rates. On board
2-channel AC'97 digital audio eliminates the need for a discrete audio solution.
