KR7A-RAID Rated as HOT by Atomic

Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C., Thursday, March 14, 2002- In yet another glowing review of an ABIT product, premier Australian PC/gaming magazine Atomic has given ABIT's KR7A-RAID top marks for performance, speed and overclockability.

Atomic's John Gillooly couldn't help commenting on what has made ABIT tops of the overclocking heap for a long time now:"[With the] SOFTMENU III overclocking tools and extensive tweaking options…ABIT has produced yet another board that stands out from the ever-expanding pack. As is always the case with ABIT, the best rewards will be reaped by those who are unafraid to delve into its BIOS, but even at performance defaults this board flies. Like its predecessor, the KG7-Raid, this board features four DDR RAM slots, which is still incredibly rare on KT266A motherboards."

With Atomic's test sample suitably tweaked, the KR7A-RAID outperformed two other rival motherboards during a Quake3 session, beating one board by a full five percent, prompting Gillooly to remark, "in a market that is over flowing with attractive motherboard options, ABIT has yet again shown why it has such a great reputation amongst enthusiasts…the performance it delivers is well worth the price of admission."
