IT7-MAX2. With top-grade features and unrivaled performance, Active Hardware
bestowed the IT7-MAX2 with their Top Grade Hardware Award!
Some of the numerous I/O options of the IT7-MAX2: "The USB 2.0 ports have
made it back though, and the ABIT's new baby is simply bristling with them. In
addition to them, the Max2 also comes complete with two Firewire ports, and an
integrated network controller - thus rounding out the IT7-MAX2's external I/O
options."
Active Hardware on the performance and overclocking ability of the IT7-MAX2:

device. It clearly has little to envy of the MSI 845PE Max FIR - it surpassed
the latter in 5 out of 7 tests!...Our Overclocking tests went extremely well! We
were able to push the ABIT IT7-MAX2's FSB all the way to 158MHz, for a final CPU
speed of 3.02GHz. That represents a gain of 500MHz - the largest such leap we've
obtained using a simple air-cooled system."
The verdict? "Like the IT7 Max that preceded it, the ABIT IT7-MAX2 is a
step ahead of the rank-and-file, simply by virtue of its incredible arsenal of
features and refinements. With integrated Firewire, Ethernet, four-channel RAID

boot. In other words, it's very hard to find anything bad to say about ABIT's
new board; the IT7-MAX2 soared through our tests with nary a hiccup. Thus, we
