Q: How do I switch between [Normal] and [Turbo] modes? How do I save my BIOS via ABIT's Dual BIOS Technology? (R9550-Guru)
A:

To Switch Between [Normal] and [Turbo] Mode:

For RADEON Series AGP graphics cards that provide [NORMAL] and [XTURBO] Dual BIOS selections, please refer to the illustration shown here to select one of your own (the default setting is [NORMAL])

To change the mode from [NORMAL] to [XTURBO]:

  1. Power off your system.
  2. Locate the [Normal/Turbo] header on your graphics card.
  3. Place the jumper hat from its default pin 1-2 to pin 2-3.
  4. Power on your system.

NOTE: If the first-time driver installation was done in [NORMAL] mode, you will have to re-install the driver. There is no need to install again after completing these two selections. The LED light will be switched from its default Yellow NORMAL position to Red TURBO.Due to the chipset limitation, the [Overclocking Setting] menu in the vGuru Utility may not be accessible for some models under default [Normal] mode. Try the [XTurbo] mode to do so.

Dual BIOS Data Backup Solution: ABIT's Dual BIOS not only provides hardware overclocking, but offers a best OC protection with two BIOSes. When one BIOS fails to work, you can simply power off the computer, switch the [Normal/Turbo] jumper to the good BIOS, power on and switch back to the corrupt BIOS, get firmware from ABIT then flash it with our BIOS Flashing Utility.
