Q: |
Why can't I use the Wake On LAN function? (IS-10/IS-20) |
A: |
Because the settings of the Broadcom LAN chip is different from others.For Windows XP, do the following:
- Start -> Control Panel -> Switch Class View -> System -> Hardware
-> Device Manager -> Network adapters -> Broadcom 4401 ->Wake
Up capabilities-> NONO -> MAGIC FRAME.
- Start -> Control Panel -> Switch Class View -> Display -> Screen
Saver -> Power -> Advanced -> check the "Allow this device management
station to bring the computer out of standby" box
- Restart system and press the "DEL" key to enter the BIOS. Then
go to Power Management Setup -> Wake-Up by PCI card/LAN -> Enabled.
