Q: |
Why is the PWM temperature detected to be higher than the CPU's temperature on the KV7/KD7A motherboard? |
A: |
The thermal sensor for PWM temperature is located near the PWM (Pulse Width
Modulation) Synchronous Step-down Converter. It consumes a lot of power voltage
provided by PWM converter, while the CPU is full loaded. Therefore, the temperature
of sensor near the PWM converter is detected higher than the CPU's temperature,
especially in a closed chassis.
We recommend that you install the latest ABIT EQ software, which supports the
KV7/KD7A instead of the legacy Winbond Hardware Doctor. Please uninstall Winbond
Hardware Doctor before installing ABIT EQ. |
