Q: Why can't AT7-MAX2 / KD7 serial board with Barton CPUs [FSB:333 (166MHz)] and DDR400 (200MHz) correctly detect the frequency of DDR400? (AT7-MAX2/KD7/KD7-B/KD7-G/KD7-RAID/KD7-S/KD7A/KD7-E)
A: AT7-MAX2 / KD7 series are based on KT400 chipset, which doesn't support 166/200MHz (CPU333/DRAM200 frequency). This is the chipset limitation and can not be solved by motherboard vendors. KT400 supports FSB/RAM frequency is listed as following:
100/100(200/200) 100/133(200/266) 100/166(200/333) 100/200(200/400) 133/133(266/266) 133/166(266/333) 133/200(266/400) 166/166(333/333)
